It is world famous in natural living and Anthroposophical circles, and has the quickest commuter express bus to NYC in the County. The “Lost Eichlers”
Dexter Park – Iconic Mid-Century Modern Architect Joseph Eichler purchased the property of Chestnut Ridge’s Dexter Park neighborhood to build his only development outside of California. He ran into roadblocks with $ and building codes after only building three of his unique homes. (They remain the only 3 Eichler homes outside of California.) Another developer continued building Eichler-inspired mid-century style homes throughout Dexter Park throughout the 60s.
